London Councils announces shortlist of 25 for London Borough Apprenticeship Awards 2022

London Councils is delighted to announce the shortlist for the 2022 London Borough Apprenticeship Awards, which celebrate the exceptional impact apprentices have made across local government in London.

Mayor Rokhsana Fiaz, London Councils’ Executive Member for Skills and Employment, said:

"As we mark 12 years of the London Borough Apprenticeship Awards I am delighted to announce the names of the 25 apprentices who have been shortlisted for their talents and impact working across the capital. They represent the talent in our communities unleashed when we open up and widen opportunities.

“Each year, through the London Borough Apprenticeship Awards, we come together to celebrate the outstanding achievements of apprentices working for London boroughs and their supply chains.

“The Awards also demonstrate the scale of ambition London boroughs have for their communities, as apprenticeships symbolise one of the many ways local government in London offers enriching and empowering opportunities through skills development and training that can lead to rewarding jobs and careers. I am so delighted to announce the shortlist for this year’s awards and be part of a standing tradition at London Councils that recognises their hard work and impressive achievements.

“The nominees of this year’s awards demonstrate a brilliant array of talented and passionate apprentices motivated to serve the public good and the dedicated officers and managers who take on and support them to achieve their potential. The winners will be announced in September."
